Hello and Thank You For Stopping By!
I purchased a Basic Grey Spice Market Background stamp recently and used it once. Then I got wrapped up in other card themes (e.g. Valentine's mostly) but still I kept that beautiful stamp right in sight on my craft table. Here's the stamp:

This past weekend, I started making cards and ended up making 2 cards with it, first I made this one:
I heat embossed with Ranger Gold embossing powder. Then, I used two Tim Holtz Distress stains (Peacock Feathers & Seedless Preserves) and a Dylusions spray (Fuchsia) to add color. I poured them into palette wells and painted with a #4 round brush. I cut the bottom right edge at a diagonal then placed all cut pieces on top of a gold embossed paper. After this, I applied a die cut Grateful die which I colored with the fuchsia Dylusions spray & covered it with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen. Three sparkling turquoise embellishment dots from Queen & Company brought out the colors.
I also created this card which I posted for Kennedy Grace Creations (KGC) yesterday. I used the beautiful Isabella's Dream sequin mix:
I heat embossed with the stamp again but this time, I used Ranger Fine White Detail Embossing Powder. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (Cobalt Blue, Persian Blue & Violet) as watercolors to add color. Along the edge I used double sided tape to adhere the sequin mix to the card base. Yes, they were put on one-by-one! Took time but was worth it because I love how it looks. I saw Sandy Allnock do this in a recent YouTube video, click here to see it. The Hello die cut is from a Simon Says Stamp die and is saturated with a blue Wink Of Stella brush pen.
This shaker card is the first time I used this stamp as part of the January KGC Blog Hop (see it here):

So far, I love the cards that I have created with this background stamp and I'm looking forward to working with it again.
Come back again, I would so love that!
